This thrift store route is inspired by the cozy Velper Sneup Days and, as a result, is a route full of unusual finds, workshops and local initiatives. A wonderful route to spend the whole afternoon with and be able to spend on tracking, sniffing and treasure hunting. Thereby this shopping tour in Arnhem & Velp is easy to do by public transport but of course also suitable to do by car or bike. To make the route complete we have added some extra stops, all optional of course. So you can create your ultimate shopping itinerary. Enjoy!

Atmosphere & assortment

Let's start by saying that this Kringloopwinkelroute Arnhem West & Velp contains mainly thrift stores in, you will encounter a mix of smaller and larger stores. In these stores you will find the complete range from furniture and home accessories to electronics, books, jewelry, vintage and curios - you really can come across anything. These thrift stores are interspersed with various other responsible entrepreneurs in and around Velp. Added as extras are some creative entrepreneurs and coffee bars that we ourselves really liked. This way we also support local business and you get to experience the village of Velp in all its glory. Which we personally enjoyed very much! Hopefully you guys will too.

(1) Kringloopwinkel In & Uit in Arnhem:

The first Kringloopwinkel on this route, In & Uit in Arnhem is a size-wise a fine thrift store you can spend an average of 10 to 15 minutes in. You can find a lot of different stuff from furniture to clothes. There is something for everyone. Feel free to browse the well-stocked aisles. Read more about this store.

(2) Unique in Velp:

Next up is Enig in Velp. A fun and Unique location with stuff to match. In this well-stocked barn you can find both Curiosa, Retro, vintage and brocante stuff and is therefore recommended for almost everyone. The prices of these items here are slightly higher than at the average thrift store, but the quality, on the other hand, is good. Read more about this store.

(3) Van Meij Foundation

Then you can almost roll to Foundation Van Meij, this is a small but cozy barn. This will get you outside again a little faster. Still, you will find beautiful furniture, home accessories and a warm welcome from owners. From vintage, antique or brocante, you can find it all here and for a good price too! (4) Terres Des Hommes Velp

We have not yet been able to view this store ourselves. We will return soon to see if it is open for visits and review it. But if you do go that way, feel free to take a look for yourself!

(5) Thrift store In & Out in Velp:

You'll also come across Kringloopwinkel In & Uit, also not one of the biggest stores. But you can go there for various things, in terms of style it is not necessarily focused on just vintage, antique or brocante, it is more of a mixture. Read more about this store.

(6) PARELS vanDaan in Velp:

The itinerary is slowly coming to an end, but PARELS vanDaan should definitely not be forgotten. Despite being a tiny store, you can succeed well in children's and women's clothing. Furthermore, the store is complemented by various gift items. Many of these are made by local entrepreneurs. Read more about this store.

"Nice local store that you should definitely pop into if you're on a clothing thrift tour or need to score a gift for someone. Otherwise, this is probably not something you need to go into anytime soon".

(7) Circle the 2nd Round in Velp:

Finally, Circle the 2nd Round. This is the largest store on the route and if you're into that, you could say we saved the best for last. The store is spacious and there is something in all categories. Read more about this store

"Fine thrift store to wander around a bit longer, didn't take anything myself because we were by bus. But definitely spotted stuff that was nice. Also these combine with surrounding stores"

Our own review

In short, a delightful route that can easily fill an afternoon. This route is also suitable to complete by public transport. Enough variety between different large and small stores, also the offer on this route is interspersed with real thrift finds and vintage & brocante. To make the day complete, we have added some other nice spots in Velp. For example, for a cup of coffee or some books.
