Van Meij Foundation is a non-profit secondhand store where everything is run by volunteers, some of them are family. Siblings even, how nice! The proceeds go to charities at home & abroad. The foundation wants to helping people in need AND contribute to waste reduction by reusing items.
Atmosphere & assortment
The supply arises from estate clearance: items collected, refurbished or beautified then get a new life in stores, flea markets or through online sales channels such as Marketplace.

Our own review
Foundation Van Meij is a small but cozy shed, where you will find mainly furniture & home accessories and a warm welcome by its owner. From vintage, antique or brocante, you can come across it all here and for a good price too! A store you don't have to drive especially to visit, by our estimation you will be inside for 5 min at most. But they are right next to Enig Velp so you should definitely combine these if you ask us. Combine these with even more other stores in Velp makes the ride totally worth it.
We ourselves bought a beautiful wool blanket here, a frame with embroidered rose and via Marktplaats 2 wooden bedside tables. I'll tell you more about this in a new blog soon!
