Bastionstraat 11-10, Arnhem

Circle Uden

This recycling in Uden is one of the largest in the Netherlands with an area of approximately 3,300-3,500 m². In which everything is spaciously laid out in different corners/departments. In this thrift store you can basically always succeed and has enough supply for every category that belongs in a thrift store. In addition, they have nicely decorated store. Definitely recommended!

Atmosphere & assortment

Although it is a large thrift store you experience it as a relatively cozy store. They have cleverly done this by creating all kinds of corners. This keeps it somewhat orderly, despite there being so much. From furniture, CDs & DVDs, books, home accessories, clothing to electronics, they have it all here and in abundance. However, due to the size of the store, some of it is not always well stocked. Oh well, you won't hear us grumble about that with such a large building.

Ratings from Google reviews

With an average Google rating of about 3.9 out of 5 (among some 329 reviews) we see varying opinions:

"Wonderful thrift store. Everything arranged with taste by category of product. Highly recommended!"
- Frank van Oorschot. (5 / 5 stars)

"After the first look back out quickly! Prices of 15 euros for picture frames! Large premises. Yet again inside. Many different corners to discover. Fortunately, not everything is equally expensive."
- Klaas Zuurman (1 / 5 stars)

"Circles are expensive these days, so are these. Feel that the "beautiful and rare" items that are delivered for free are well selected and do not end up in the store. Some prices are higher than where one probably originally bought it the Action.( especially dishes, crockery etc ) . Very nice employees at the cash register."
- Femke van Zetten (3/ 5 stars)

A review like Klaas Zuurman's is exactly why we set up this blog. Because this thrift store is really not worth one star. This person has clearly been guided by an overpriced item on entry. That is why we try to base our review on several criteria, read it in the next paragraph.

Our own review

We love going to Kringloop Uden, although in terms of furniture I don't always find them very strong. You can really succeed here for home accessories. In terms of prices, we found it not too bad either, generally reasonable, but indeed not low. Upstairs they have a clothing department that has enough choice for women and is nicely set up. That day we were not in the mood to rummage through racks of clothes, but otherwise that would have been successful too.

"Great thrift store, pretty uncluttered if you ask us especially when you consider how much stuff is in there for a reasonable price. you can spend 45 minutes in here and you always leave with something. We will definitely be back again."
- Tamar de Kroon (4/5 stars)

Summary

Plus points:

  • Large store with wide assortment
  • Layout divides this large space into "manageable" pieces to browse through
  • Pick-up & delivery service

Minuses:

  • Due to size, some corners are sometimes emptier than others (though we understand that)

Who is Kringloop Uden suitable for?

Are you someone with patience, who enjoys browsing room by room all the stuff. Then this thrift store is for you. The prices are reasonable and you can find really good stuff among them. The large selection makes it a visit of about 45 minutes and is definitely worth the drive up and down, do not forget to take a look at the Zusseschuur! You can read more about this in my next blog!
