Located in one of the new housing estates around Arnhem is this semi-detached house with garage. The residents wanted to create a space where they could have family stay when they come to visit. This way they both have their privacy but are still close to each other. An extension on top of the garage has been done before on this street, so this was the perfect place for a studio.

Extension with 3D Atmosphere

With this design we looked at different angles. One design with the staircase leading externally to the studio one where that happens internally. We wanted the design to bring a little more warmth to the current building, so we chose green accents. This way the extension also blends subtly into its surroundings.
